How I spent my Saturday

In bed. On the sofa. At my desk.

Yep, that pretty much covers it. I’m still not feeling very good, so I didn’t do much of anything today. I woke up pretty late and just moved from the bed to the sofa. I watched TV for a while and fell asleep watching True Lies. It’s a classic favorite of mine and I have a hard time clicking past it whenever it’s on. After I woke up, I moved into the office for a while and did some updates to Terran Marketing. I picked a theme and did some website copy, but I was struggling to concentrate on that. After a few hours I moved back to the sofa where it looks like I’ll be spending the rest of my night.

The best part of my day was when my wife brought me some homemade soup. She’s really gotten good at making soups and the timing couldn’t be better. It makes me feel a lot better eating the hot steaming broth, but it also tastes great at the same time. Yesterday she made what has to be the best soup I’ve ever had and tonight’s was awesome too. She’s discovered that soup is a great way to use the ingredients from our weekly CSA farm share. It’s a great way to mix in okra, squash, potatoes, onions, carrots, zucchini, chilies, etc.

The one time I did leave the house today was early this morning to take the dog out for a walk. I was hoping to pick some fruit off the trees, but it looks like everything is just now growing in and won’t be ready for a few more weeks. With a little luck the tangerines will be ready before we leave early next month. They were my favorite thing last year and I ate so many they kind of made me ill. This year I’ll do better at spacing them out.

I plan on spending most of the day on the sofa tomorrow resting up and watching some football. With a little luck I’ll be feeling better by Monday and ready for the new workweek.
